Bam117 Retires From ACP, Albaro/Sidie9 Promoted To Leader

BREEZE, Democratic Republic of the Army of CP — The former leader of the Doritos and now the Army of CP announces his retirement amid turbulent times and an uncertain future of the ACP as they make their foray into another war.

On August 8, 2015, ACP leader Bam117 announced his retirement from the Army of CP following a long period of speculation concerning his future in the army.

Hello all ACP, after my recent temporary leave I’ve decided to fully retire to give a little bit more focus on school [its starting in literally a few days] and apparently I need to start working again to pay off my car [Life sucks right? xD]. These past few weeks [or even months] I’ve heard nothing but my name out of everyone’s mouth  (jealous much?)

All those pissed off retirees out there may be happy but for what? Its not like any of them were going to return to ACP or even help.

Though I will generally hate on armies for taking so much time out of my life but those special armies like ACP or DCP are the reason I stay so long- You guys have helped push me out of some of the darkest times of my life and there is nothing I could ever do to repay it, thanks for all the cheers my friends and thanks for always being there for me 🙂

I’m still a little pissed I never go to use my original Bam117 account while leading lol

Bam117, “Retirement”

While the post does hint toward the catalysts of his retirement, Bam himself has revealed the deeper motive in an interview with CPAC.

“I’ve been trying to retire forever now but I just keep getting wrapped back into things. But after losing another precious family member and school starting back up, I need to clear my head,” said Bam.

Prior to announcing his retirement, Bam had already been on a sudden, unexplained leave which placed Albaro and Sidie as temporary leaders of the army. During this time, unrest in the army was commonplace with organizations such as D.W.B. (Down With Bam) and N.F.L. (Noka For Leader) campaigning for charge amid allegations of Bam being an agent of the Doritos. The former organization and it’s roughly 7 members were banned for treason.

During his leave, Albaro and Sidie were able to keep the army stable and go beyond their assigned duties. With several successful events of 25+, including victories against the Rebel Penguin Federation and a negotiated end to the war until after the Legends Cup as well as an emotional Legends Cup victory over the defending champion Ice Warriors, the temporary leaders were able to prove that they were more than capable of acting in a permanent leadership role.

Bam first entered the Army of CP as a 3ic after being removed from his leader rank in the Doritos. Following the retirement of Ahmed on May 27th, he found himself leading the army. Though he was unpopular with some people both in and outside of the army for his questionable antics, including relatively inappropriate behavior on chat , he was generally well-liked by the average ACP.

“To be honest, I supported the “Down with Bam” project before I realized how stupid it was,” said Doom, ACP Brigadier General. “Bam is a great leader, but he does break a lot of rules on chat.”

“He was a good leader, just not a good role model,” said Thebester5, former ACP officer. “He acted immature and unprofessional at times where it was unnecessary.”

Those who have had experience leading with him look at him positively as both a maverick and innovator.

“(Bam) definitely changed up ACP’s old tradition, but I would say he gave the army a significant rise, such as today’s victory against IW,” said Cul, DCP leader, who had experience serving under Bam in ACP and alongside him in the Doritos.

“He’s a good leader; he just doesn’t care what people think about him and he speaks his mind, which made people hate him,” said ACP 3ic Trader in reference to Bam’s unorthodox antics.

In his retirement post, Bam named prominent AUS leader Sidie9 and longtime ACP officer Lord Albaro as the new leaders of the Army of CP. Both had been serving as provisional leaders following the unexpected leave taken by Bam last week.

I, Bam117 hereby retire from the rank and assignment of President & Leader of the Army of clubpenguin

Sidie/Vex & Albaro Lord are hereby promoted to official leader(s) of the glorious Army of Clubpenguin

The best of luck to you both! You have surely earned it in your own right!

Even with the untimely departure of their leader, the new ACP leadership is confident in their ability to prosper going forward. Only hours before, the Special Weapons and Tactics had declared war on the ACP, presenting a daunting challenge to a leadership only hours old.

“I believe ACP will actually grow with (Bam’s) retirement,” said Lord Albaro, provisional ACP leader and soon-to-be ACP leader. “The hype with two new leaders will bring in troops, and overall, the army will grow.”

“ACP has had a good stunt so far and the new leadership has shown it’s abilities this week,” said a confident Bam on the abilities of the army he leaves behind.

As an  era ends and another begins, ACP are faced with another period of uncertainty. However, with several successful events and morale-boosting victories, the road ahead may not be as daunting as it seems. While not the most popular leader in ACP history, Bam was certainly an important and positive figure in ACP’s history.

“I focused on ACP overall, not trying to impress the millions of outsiders or unhelpful retirees; so frankly, they can go **** themselves,” said Bam.
