The Cult of Lord Pain

KLONDIKE, CPAC Bathroom – As this entire community knows, Lord Pain is a rather colorful character to say the least. He is known for, lets just say his “unique” leadership style and treatment of his subordinates and enemies alike. He isn’t necessarily the most loved person in CP armies.

Note: The following text was written or explained in no way to either reflect the opinion of others at CPAC or to offend anyone. (Not even Lord Pain or he will declare war on my army)

Okay screw it, I’m gonna cut the crap, Lord Pain is seen as a ruthless dictator who constantly orders his troops to do unreasonable things like to recruit on Club Penguin for two hours straight and then verbally abuses them after. He is the synonym for ruthlessness and superiority. Lord Pain is like a megalomaniac. He was according to Waterkid100 “Couped in every army he led.”

But don’t get me wrong, personally I think Lord Pain is a pretty cool guy. (When he isn’t declaring war on your army for not bowing low enough to him) I have asked for Lord Pain’s permission to occasionally make posts about him (not counting this one).

However, despite his character, Lord Pain seems to have many followers. Lord Pain once described himself as a “cult” as well.

Lord Pain’s leadership style still garners mixed opinions in the CP Army Community. Some like Wwebestfan, Former DCP Leader has this to say about Lord Pain

“He [Lord Pain] is a good leader, people don’t put enough faith in the guy to see it through.

-Wwebestfan

Over at the RPF establishment I’ve contacted Snaily5, RPF Leader, one Lord Pain’s Co-workers to see how working with him is like. Being the only female leader alongside Lord Pain you might expect her to face an endless barrage of abuse, sandwich requests and kitchen jokes. However working alongside with the infamous Lord Pain might be better than expected.

Interview With Snaily5, RPF Leader, Lord Pain’s Co-worker

Me: How is it like working alongside the great Lord Pain?

Snaily: He is very stubborn. You present what you have to say and he usually goes against it. In my case, an event post, the times for the different timezones were wrong. The times were indeed wrong but Lord Pain insisted “I AM LORD PAIN” and that he was never wrong.

Me: How does Lord Pain treat his troops?

Snaily: Lord Pain has no real relations with his troops. He is a bit dry, no personality, and did not seem interested communicating with RPF troops in a friendly way. He was all business. He stated what he had to and then went afk.

Me: Is he as ruthless as everyone thinks he is?

Snaily: He is not as ruthless as I expected. Actually I found him dry, uncaring, yet pleasant. Like a stale marshmallow.

Me: Does he make his troops to do unreasonable things like force them on Club Penguin for hours?

Snaily: Not to my recollection but he does encourage his troops to recruit a lot.

Me: Last question. Did he ever ask you to make him a sandwich?

Well this was their own personal experience with Lord Pain. While you can say he is not always like his reputation shows he is and that he has changed, there are certainly moments where Lord Pain goes “Lord Pain“.

Next week I will be interviewing Lord Pain himself in depth to find out what he thinks about the many aspects of our CP Army Community, from the ongoing wars to the leaders that are leading them.

You can comment with your own experiences with Lord Pain below about how have you been graced by his presence and how you have served the great LORD PAIN.

(In case you don’t know I have been on the CPAC site for very a long time, I just started posting when I feel like it)

If you are also wondering why Lord Pain’s name was bolded every time it is because his name is supposed to be superior to all other words in the post or something.

  3. I strongly encourage you all to side with Lord Pain always. If you go against him expect your army to be smashed to pieces, after all he IS the guy who single handedly brought RPF to 1st and can rise an army to 30 in a single day by himself. Lord Pain is clearly the future for armies, and without him the CP Armies community is a weak, useless, pile of nothing.

I’ve dedicated an entire corner of my room to Him and have several pictures of him hung surrounded by a star of candles and goat carcasses.

  16. Pain does get too much crap. He can be an amazing leader. However, he is brutal. He doesn’t hold back. If he has a nice leader leading with him to counterbalance, the possibilities are endless.

    • Nice Leaders do not lead with Pain. Pain is always right in his book even if the idea(s) he has is flawed. Unless you are a jerk you cannot work with him. If you are nice he’ll shove you over and do what he wants or get removed by the majority.
