An Address to Waterkid and the Pirates

Evening.

Before I get into the actions CPAC will be going ahead with, I’d like to clear up a few things.

First off, yes, it is very true that I would be nowhere without CPAC. I got into armies such as UMA, the Pretzels, WV, ST, and GT because of my CPAC influence. But let me be clear here, there’s nothing wrong with that. Waterkid only was given ranks in other armies because of his influence in the Pirates. Waterkid would be nothing without the Pirates. And that statement can be applied to any major army leader who sticks with one thing. Where is there shame in joining one thing, sticking with it, and rising it?

Exactly. There’s nothing wrong with that.

Waterkid has greatly overstepped his boundaries. I got together the administration of CPAC, and we considered many options as to how to retaliate to what is taking place. And here’s what we’ve come up with.

Waterkid has been removed from the voting for the 25 Most Influential People. Ads, Leader of the Nachos, has replaced him. Waterkid has also been stripped of his title of Person of the Year 2012, and will be banned from attending the CPA Central Gala scheduled for next Saturday. If any owner on the chat at the time sees him on the chat, he is to be banned forever, and anyone who tries to get him unbanned will be banned as well.

Let me be clear that this is on the low end of some of the options we discussed. If Waterkid continues, CPAC is not afraid to take further, more decisive action against him. Also, might I add that I suggest someone on the Pirates site takes down the Anti CPA-Central banner, or you will be treated just as Waterkid is.

We’re done playing games. I have the full support of CPAC’s administration to take such action.

  3. Oh my.

It is within your power to do all that stuff to Waterkid, I know that. You can not however, force someone to remove a banner from their website. That’s crossing your boundaries.

And Person of the year 2012 is?

    • Oh, I didn’t say you had to. I’m just saying that when armies post the banner, it’s considering going anti-CPAC, which results in CPAC taking further action against the army. Sort of like when Funks refused to recognize the Light Troops as an army after they put up a bunch of anti-CPAC propoganda.

I’m not forcing you to do anything at all. I’m just giving you a bit of a warning.

Person of the Year 2012 was a list of the 10 most important people of the 2012 year released on December 31st. You can probably find the post in our archives.

That’s a threat, not “a bit of a warning.” I won’t be removing the banner, I will allow Water to make that decision himself.

May I also add that CPAC is a form of media for our little community. I can’t comment on Funks’ decision back then but that sounds pretty stupid to be honest. I would hope you do not do that to the Pirates as it is not the CPAC who decides what an army is or is not.

        • It’s not really a threat. I think the public is completely aware of the extent of actions CPAC takes. An army, in my opinion, can not expect to be invited to CPA Central tourneys, reported on, and featured in their Top Tens, if there are actively against the site itself.

And please, we haven’t decided to yet. I’m simply letting you know that it is on the table.

          • It is a threat. But let’s not argue on that silly matter.

Just do not punish the Pirates soldiers or whatnot because of Waterkid. For example, banning Pirate soldiers on chat, removing me from this site or whatever else you can think of. That is imperative.

That’s all I have to say for now. 🙂

  6. Totally unjust. In my opinion. I agree, Waterkid is impetuous, Hot headed, arrogant, foolish, irrational child. But, like everyone, he has a right to be heard. If he wants to believe he should be on the voting, and feels the need to rage in the comments, let him. No harm. Takes two to tango, neh? The gala is mostly for fun. And will bring the community closer together. Why should Waterkid be banned from this, simply for expressing his opinions. I in no way mean to justify his actions. But is actual punishment necessary? Just my views.

    • Waterkid is being banned from these things for the reason that he is no respect for the people who spent hours sorting through candidates and, even though the public was greatly against it, awarded him with Person of the Year.

      • So, an army leader who is disrespectful. And is imprudent. And does not know his place. What else is new? I dont see why CPAC feels the need to be punitive. It accomplishes nothing. Your just asking for Water’s inevitable poorly executed retaliation.

  7. This is not how a news site is meant to work. Just because the CEO of the New York Times dislikes someone, say Kim Jong-un, doesn’t mean that they don’t write about him. Of course, I do not support Waterkid’s behavior. However, I do not believe that news sites exist to enforce any supposed rules or act as a governing body. News sites, of course, can give opinion, but you can’t simply ignore an army or person. Besides, wouldn’t it be more effective to write about Waterkid’s wrongdoings rather than simply pretending he doesn’t exist? Last time I checked, he does.

    • A news [site] doesn’t always have to post news, sometimes it posts things that are different but relevant to the newspaper / community. Granted, the site can’t just stop posting about something because they don’t like the topic, but this doesn’t apply here because the Blue Bros never said they were going to refrain from posting about Waterkid in the first place.
I believe CPAC has the right to ban Waterkid from their Gala because it’s THEIR Gala and why would you want to go to it anyway, you only want to because it’s hosted by a big site. The same goes for the influential poll; when you drill it down it’s only just a contest regarding people who are the most influential, and since apparently infamous people are not regarded as influential even though they are influential, the word “influential” here means “popular”. Waterkid didn’t have a chance of winning even if he were put in the poll, people just hate him too much.
My friend you are also warped by the massive influence CPAC has over the community, because you think that banning Waterkid from a poll and a party is a state-wide law, and that doing so makes CPAC a governing body. Although they practically are one because of their influence, they aren’t so you can just forget it if you’re banned from one of their tournaments in the future; it’s not even that big of a deal.
You’re saying that due to their influence, CPAC is directly the Judge Judy of this community, and that is very much true. But it only takes a few smart people to stop going, and if CPAC ever loses popularity and nobody goes to the site anymore, you’ll realize that their Top 10’s mean absolutely nothing and are redundant, even though they are accurate.
TL;DR: CPAC is still going to post about Waterkid, their crap is only famous because they’re influential, and it’s not worth making a big ruckus because you didn’t make one of their contests.

  8. Let me say this right now. For all of you thinking The administration of CPAC is going too far by banning Waterkid from attending Events hosted by CPAC, must I remind you that they haven’t attempted to ban him from armies altogether. This is a news site, and in a way this is also an Army. They have their rights to choose who they want to post, who they want to comment, and if they are going to be raged at in several comments and posts made by a butthurt son-of-a-bitch, then they have the right to ban that Son of a bitch from their army. The only difference and the reason why this is such a big deal is that a news site is banning a person.

    • While we did talk about this action, we eventually decided IP banning Water was going too far, too fast. This, more or less, is just a message that lets our friend Water know we’re serious. While this action may have no real effect on him at all, it’s the beginning, and the thing you talked about may very well be a coming step. Also, if you ever feel like doing some good old graphics work, see me on chat bby.

  15. All of you guys are missing the point here.

First off the only people complaining are Water’s fan club, and Pungy (who is the biggest known democrat in armies, I respect you for that). Now let me explain to you bone heads (except Pungy) why Blue1 did this:

    1. The CPAC Gala is hosted by the Blue Brothers. They have complete right whether to ban Waterkid, or me or anyone else in the community.

    2. More than about 70-80% of the community now hates Water through his guts, and the only people complaining are Water’s fans, Water’s troops………….and Pungy. Obviously since this is the majority, it is completely justified that Water can be banned from the Gala. Just like you would make a party for your whole class, but there is one guy that is a “pest” to you. Obviously you would ban him from the party, and that would be completely fair.

    3. Waterkid already got his chances. IN FACT, none of this wouldn’t have happened if he hadn’t made such a big deal of the chosen top 50 of the most influential people. “I don’t care about armies”………. yeah right lol. The Blue Brothers have full authority to ban him from the Gala.

Now onto the Top 25 and the Person of the year…………

This is probably the area which you all have questions for. First off, these titles are both held by CPAC, which gives CPAC the full right to take it away from him. Secondly, let us say you are a medal recipient in an army (a real one *wary*) and you began insulting the nation, and going as far as hosting anti-propaganda. It is obvious that the nation that gave you the medal would take it away from you.

This is the exact case as the one above. All in all, the Blue Brothers organised and hosted both of these awards, so they have the complete right to ban him/ take away his title.

This is not how a legend acts….. at ALL.

      • So what are they to do? If I understand correctly, this is more of a warning shot then anything else. A wake up call, if you will. Anyone who puts up Anti-CPAC propaganda, loses the support of CPAC. None of these truly effect him in anyway. Frankly, I think CPAC is in the right. Despite my previous comments. (wary).

  21. In my opinion, doing this just shows how influential Waterkid really is. To an extent where people have to ‘ban’ him from a news-site is pretty extreme. Yes, Waterkid can be a little extreme himself but nobody said that being influential had to be a ‘good’ influence or a bad one.

Now, do I think this is right? No. IMO, both of you (Water and CPAC) are acting childish and whining over non-sense that can be simply ended with one not replying to the other.

Does he get under your skin that much? Over the internet? Ha.
