CPAC Special Report: The Dorito Dissection

KLONDIKE, CPA Central Headquarters – The Doritos have been held at a high standard among our community recently, becoming the poster army for the year of 2015 in swift fashion. This hasn’t gone without controversy, however, as several scandals have plagued the army since its renaissance early this year. Some of these “acts of defiance” have been confirmed, while some have been debunked as false. Now, with the Doritos firmly entrenched as the top dog of the community, an old claim has been revived. This time, however, it seems to look different.

EDIT 5:06 PM EST: Further statements from Change indicate that Whats Up 11 has been cleared of any charges of complicity, shifty primary blame to Lord West. 

Back in April, I personally tackled an investigation surrounding Jester, the Doritos leader at the time. The claim was that he was multilogging with a penguin named Achilles119. In the end, I found marginally more evidence to support the claim being true than it being false, thus leading to me confirming the claim.

Fast forward to May, where the same claim was being made by the Ice Warriors. This time, however, it centered around Mustapha10, the prolific Doritos leader. I never found enough evidence to support the claim, leading to it never being published by CPA Central (although a news post covered the allegations made towards the Doritos).

In the time between May and now, we’ve heard a variety of accusations thrown towards the Doritos, most of them centered around multilogging. Until now, they’ve not been backed up well by evidence.

The first piece of evidence we received was a testimonial from Cul8rsl, former Doritos leader. On two separate occasions, he’s given confessionals to CPA Central representatives about multilogging within the Doritos, as well as within the Underground Mafias Army and the Ice Warriors (though the latter two are not supported by nearly as much evidence).

As stated, Cul outright states that the Doritos multilog heavily. While I personally think the extent it goes to is exaggerated, this is the first domino to fall in a long string of call-outs and pieces of evidence, and a rather notable one at that. One of his claims is that the Doritos purposely exaggerate chat size in order to cover up the multilogging, which otherwise would be obvious. To go along with that part of the story, Cul took a picture of the following:

From personal experience, I can verify that chat size and size on Club Penguin has had an odd ratio in a couple of Dorito events I attended out of interest. A few weeks ago, I saw 37 on Club Penguin and 38 on their chat. A 1:1 ratio of chat to CP size is something that’s almost impossible, added to the fact that several people on that chat were nulls or unresponsive users.

In talking to Cul myself, he told me that “The Ken” and Bam117 shared an IP address. “The Ken” was a user that was under fire back in May when I took a second look at some of the accusations surrounding the Doritos, so this isn’t far-fetched at all.

Following the trend of confessionals, Badboy00923, who was recently fired from the Doritos, also came outright to say that Mustapha10 multilogged.

On the topic of Badboy, he is now at the helm of SWAT, who recently had their first event under the new regime. However, this event was disrupted by a bot raid, and the leader of the bots seemed to be a familiar face for him.

If you look to the left of the picture, you see Mustapha10x, Mustapha’s penguin, seemingly leading the bot raid. There is bad blood between Badboy and Mustapha, so a raid on SWAT’s opening event conducted by the latter is not surprising.

One of the big occurrences in this entire investigation was the release of a post on the Water Vikings site by Change. The post, titled “DCP Chronicles – A Fable of Corruption and Deceit”, looks into these allegations and expands on them. The post contains the product of Change’s independent investigation over the span of five days, and has been cited as definitive proof by many. While the post by itself isn’t solid enough to merit the claim valid, it adds to a large pile of convincing evidence. Below is a very long quote from the post that details one of Change’s finds.

Great job, DCP! A 1:1 ratio of those not on ranks to those on ranks/unidentifiable. I genuinely think that’s a record since the inception of the ‘Multilog Summer’. Again, we see same old penguins. Sailorman, Endo, Penguin Chip, Ziezie8, Twilight7644, etc. Hi Hi Hi 235 has attended events for a good 6 months now yet is still not on ranks. Curious… Not much else to say here, really. Rankless. Stampless. Just a different day.

Above is an excerpt of the bulk of Change’s evidence, which is marking unranked penguins. To read the entire post, click here. While some of these are definitely members of the Doritos whose penguin names don’t match their Club Penguin names (such as Brad being Chilly1357 and Tay being Chala05), some of the other penguins are extremely suspicious.

This suspicion is further heightened by Change pointing out the severe lack of stamps in many of them, which means the penguins have been used very little. One common thing to expect out of recruits coming off of Club Penguin is that they’re genuinely interested in the game, which makes new recruits with so little stamps look extremely suspicious. Change’s “stamp dump” can be seen here.

Change also observed a Doritos event in order to check for odd behavior, and although we can’t confirm whether his findings are true, he reports that the Doritos troops moved in “10 second intervals”, and that after the room change, there were a total of sixteen penguins still in the previous room, with very few being ranked. In this room, he specifically calls out Doritos leader Whats Up 11.

The last, and possibly most incriminating, piece of evidence is in a video taken by Sprite, Ice Warriors leader. In this video, we see five penguins log off simultaneously, indicating that all five are under the same IP address. Lord West also logs off around the same time, but after looking at it closely, we found that the gap between him logging off and the other penguins logging off is too large for them to be correlated. This does, however, point towards some foul play. The video is below, and the notable event described occurs at the 6:11 mark.
