Today Elmikey’s penguin was banned forever due to recruiting, as well as many other troops across armies.
This just goes to show that autotyping and recruiting comes with risks.
You can see his post HERE. This means that it can happen to any one of you! So watch out or Club Penguin Staff will start the apocalypse and bring bans raining down on all of us!
UPDATE 12:07 AM EST: More reports are coming in that the majority of DCP’s ownership has also been banned. However, attempts by Bluesockwa2 to recreate these events by saying various recruiting phrases on Abominable, Town were unsuccessful, raising doubts about how uniform the effort is.
UPDATE 8:00 PM EST: We have received more than 10 reports of penguins being banned on Club Penguin on account of “sharing personal information.” RPF’s Elmikey has been banned, and multiple ACP troops were banned for “sharing personal information” while being online for a recruiting session. From what we know, no auto-typing was taking place during the ACP event. Could this mean that Club Penguin is cracking down on us for recruiting? This is a developing story, and you’ll know everything we know as we know it.

Honestly it’s not our fault we have to go to the extent of autotyping for recruiting. Nobody knew this would happen, so it’s nobody’s fault, but purely Club Penguin’s fault, for making an extremely stupid move.

A training session/recruiting event, after we finished training we recruited and I used Elmikey to talk to the penguins and after about ten minutes I logged off and went on another penguin to avoid being banned. Later when I went to go on Elm I was banned for 3 days and the 3 days ended and log in & I’m banned forever. No big deal, I don’t care.

It all has to do with whether or not you get caught or not. I’ve only been banned once for 24 hours for autotyping and i’ve done it a lot. Trying to frame elmikey multilogging using that excuse just makes yourself look desperate.

I think I’ve come up with a theory: considering kids on cp don’t like auto-typers, cp probably thought WE ALL auto-type thanks to Elm and company, thus getting rid of recruiting phrases.

well we all do autotype (multiple people from each army) so I dont think that will work. its not the autotyping, its the fact that we are trying to attract young children to 3rd party websites. its a legal issue for disney if they allow us to do this and some kid gets their personal information spouted all over the internet some parent could go and sue disney and thats the last thing they want.

For those of you who are happy, you’re also insane.
Now we can’t recruit, and no recruiting means no army (well, sort of).
And we can’t just all of a sudden say “HEY GUYS LETS SWITCH GAMES, HOW ABOUT MINECRAFT!!” because it’s not all that easy.
For now, we’ll have to stick with the boundaries and come up with a way around this.

Why would we switch to mc if there are multiple private servers out there? Since the uniform theory is not true, we can, which I’ve always thought to be more ideal, recruit on CPPS and other private servers to avoid being banned. This is what happens when the rules change and the auto typer becomes legal in this community

I was only on Elmikey hosting a training session and then recruiting session, I logged off after about 5 minutes of getting loads of people to join RPF. I then went on my recruiting penguin, those 5-10 minutes of being on Elmikey not auto-typing got me banned, although afterwards my recruiting penguin recruited for days without being banned lol.
