The Importance of The (wary) Emoticon In Armies

We use Xat every day, and Xat provides a variety of emoticons that we use to convey our emotions. However, there is one emote that we use too much than the others: the (wary) emote.

When we look at it one way, the (wary) emoticon is the most used emoticon there may be, because it depicts the most common feeling of everybody in the Army Community. Why so? Simply because this emote has a wide range of feelings attached to it, namely annoyed, clueless, obvious and whatever is related to it. Clueless may not be direct, but when you look at indirectly, then it is. Mainly due to the fact of the slightly stern look to the face/emoticon.

Moving on, if Xat had not created this emoticon, then what would the emoticon replacing it be like? Another similar emoticon could be the (d) emoticon. It has emotions interrelated with one another and has a few extras, though exceptions. If there was no such thing as the emoticon, then what would the Army Community be like? First, let me clear one point out with you. The emoticon is existent mainly because of the advancement of technology today, which brings many of us down to the fact of using electronics too much. As technology advances, more minor ideas such as the emoticon will be further altered, bringing a new kind in. Back to the point: if the emoticon was not present, then many people in armies wouldn’t really understand the moment when an emoticon isn’t used.

Why? Because today most of us look for the short way of doing this, and sometimes, or rarely, I like it myself. This can be termed as modernization. Thought it my be irrelevant to the topic, with the advancement of emoticons, the (wary) emoticon will soon be replaced with one very similar.

Interview with Burr

I will be blue

He will be red

Me: Why do you think the (wary) emoticon is used frequently in armies?
Burr: Well, I think the (wary) emoticon is used to simply show humour and sarcasm. It’s a way to show that someone is joking around.
Me: Could there be any other use?
Burr: Not really, until CP comes out with a (wary) emote.
Me: Is the (wary) emoticon being slightly misused nowadays?
Burr: Misused? No overused? Maybe.
Me: How can you say that? (While referring to overuse)

Burr: Used too much, there other emoticons available.
Me: Such as….
Burr: There’s the Shifty emote.
Me: Alright, anything else to say?
Burr: Join AR (wary)

This topic was meant for fun and amusement, as well as making fun of me. To sum it up, the (wary) emoticon is one which can’t be replaced since many people use it in many ways, and the feelings may as well perish if we don’t use it. Think about it, what would we do without it?

  7. The wary emote is a special emote. It’s even used outside of cp armies. I’ve seen the help chat use it. I’ve seen famous xat user’s chat use it. So if cp creates the wary emote, it will be cool. But the one we should really thank, is xat. 42 created xat and the wary emote. But I personally think that the wary emote is a good emote. But this post is obvious.
